Custom Camp Merchandise for Kids: Awards, Aprons and Water Bottles
A coordinated merchandise programme designed to make camp activities feel more memorable, practical and visually connected.
The project brief
Children's camps often need more than one promotional item. Awards support recognition, aprons help participants take part in hands-on activities, and reusable water bottles remain useful throughout the programme. For this project category, the objective was to coordinate these different products around one activity theme while keeping production practical across order quantities ranging from 100 to 500 pieces.
The products needed different materials and manufacturing processes, so consistency depended on managing artwork, colours, dimensions and production details as one project rather than as three unrelated orders.
Three products, three production methods
Zinc-alloy awards with baked colour
The custom awards were produced in zinc alloy, allowing the shape and raised details to be developed as part of the metal design. Baked colour was used to create clear visual contrast and a durable decorative finish. Ribbon colour and metal finish could then be coordinated with the wider camp identity.
Stainless-steel bottles with laser engraving
Stainless-steel bottles were selected as practical merchandise that participants could use during and after the programme. Laser engraving created a clean, permanent mark without adding a printed colour layer, making it a suitable choice for repeated everyday handling.
Uniform-fabric aprons with heat-transfer graphics
The aprons used uniform fabric for a structured, easy-to-wear result. Heat-transfer decoration allowed the activity graphic to remain clear on the dark material while supporting the quantities required for the programme.
Coordinating the collection
The key task was not simply adding the same logo to three products. Each manufacturing method interprets artwork differently: metal relief needs simplified depth and line control, laser engraving depends on tonal clarity, and heat transfer requires suitable print scale and placement. We adapted the visual system for each surface while keeping the collection recognisably connected.
Before production, the team reviewed artwork size, placement, material contrast and the way each product would be used. During production, checks focused on colour consistency, engraving position, transfer adhesion, metal finish and overall presentation.
Where this approach works
This coordinated model can be adapted for summer camps, sports camps, cooking programmes, art and craft camps, school holiday activities, charity programmes and youth events. Product combinations can change according to the activity, participant age range, budget and delivery schedule.
For organisers and merchandise partners, working with one project team also reduces the effort of coordinating separate suppliers, artwork versions and shipment schedules.
Build a merchandise set around the activity—not just the logo.
Share the theme, quantity range, target date and budget. We can recommend a practical combination of products and customization methods.
